Cleaning Quote Template (Free Download) and What Every Quote Needs
A free cleaning quote template plus the seven parts every residential or office cleaning quote should include, in the order clients read them.
A cleaning quote is often the only sales document a client reads closely. They may read it next to other quotes, so make yours the easiest to compare.
The seven parts of a cleaning quote
- Your business name and contact details. Plain and at the top.
- The client and the address. Shows you listened.
- The scope in their words. "Standard clean, 3 bed, 2 bath, two cats, every second Friday." If they can see their home in it, they trust the number.
- What's included. A short checklist by room.
- What's not included. Inside the oven, inside the fridge, windows, laundry. This line heads off arguments later.
- The price. One total, with tax on its own line. For recurring work, show the first deep clean and the ongoing rate separately.
- Terms and expiry. Deposit or payment timing, cancellation notice, and a date the quote expires. Fourteen days is common.
Give two options, not one
One price gets a yes or no. Two prices get a choice. Offer a standard clean and a deep clean, or one-time and recurring. Don't offer five. Too many options sends the client away to think, and thinking clients go quiet.
Send it fast
Speed wins small cleaning jobs. Collect the intake details in the first reply, then send the quote the same day. A quote sent the next morning competes with three others that arrived last night.
Follow up once, then again
No reply may just mean they forgot. Follow up two days after sending: "Hi [name], just checking you got the quote for [date]. Happy to adjust the scope if needed." Follow up once more before it expires. Then let it go.
