Everything published here is free to read, with no paywall and no plan to add one. The work is supported instead by a small number of sponsorships arranged directly with the people behind them.

There is no ad network here, no programmatic placement, and no self-serve checkout. That is deliberate. Networks decide what appears next to the writing, and the writing is the entire asset.

What a placement looks like

Restrained, and built into the design instead of dropped on top of it: a line of text and a link, either across the site or attached to a single manual, positioned where it does not interrupt a reader mid-argument. No banners, no interstitials, no tracking scripts, no scripts of any kind. Readers of this publication have good instincts for being sold to, and a sponsor who appears here quietly gets more credit than one who does not.

Suitability

Sponsorships are accepted selectively, and editorial control is not part of the arrangement. Sponsors do not review manuals before publication, do not influence what is written, and are not mentioned inside the text.
